Thales offers a choice of 2 visits (1 or 2)
Visit 1 Thales Alenia Space Roma
Time: 09:45 to 13:00
THALES ALENIA SPACE ROMA
Meeting point/return: Congress Center
Duration of the visit: 1h30
The visit will be divided as follows: Presentation of Thales Alenia Space Italia
Transfer and visit of the clean rooms and major satellites programs
Rome site
In the Satellite Integration Center on Via Tiburtina in Rome, the components needed to build small and medium-sized satellites are assembled and the final satellite is verified for it flight-worthiness. The Center has the capability to integrate either large, complex satellites in a dedicated area, or satellite constellations by adopting the method of dividing the production process into reconfigurable and independent “Technological Islands” for human resources and support equipment optimization. This latter way of working allows the simultaneous integration of up to 10/15 satellites distributed among the various islands, with an annual production capacity of approximately 50 satellites. The Center is also equipped with the necessary facilities to perform mechanical environmental tests (vibrations, shocks, mass properties), thermal-vacuum tests under pressure and temperature conditions similar to those found in space, and radio frequency signal transmission tests in an anechoic environment.
Max. 30 guests
